Parla has experienced a notable 15.5% decrease in crime during the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior.

Crime statistics from the Ministry of the Interior reveal one of the most significant drops in Parla during the first quarter of the year. The municipality went from 1,836 criminal offenses between January and March 2025 to 1,552 in the same period of 2026, representing a 15.5% decrease.
The decline is particularly noticeable in conventional crime, which fell by 17.4%, from 1,571 to 1,297 criminal offenses. Cybercrime also decreased, reducing by 3.8%, from 265 to 255 cases.
One of the most relevant figures in the report concerns robberies with violence and intimidation, which dropped from 97 cases in the first quarter of 2025 to 45 in 2026, a decrease of 53.6%. Robberies with force against homes, establishments, and other facilities also saw a sharp decline, falling from 78 to 36 cases (a 53.8% decrease). Petty thefts, the most frequent crime, saw a slight decrease from 376 to 372 cases (a 1.1% drop). In total, Parla recorded 284 fewer criminal offenses than the previous year.
The report also reflects a drop in sexual offenses, decreasing from 15 to 11 cases (a 26.7% reduction). Within this category, sexual assaults with penetration fell from 6 to 1 case (an 83.3% decrease), although other sexual offenses slightly increased from 9 to 10 cases. Cybercrime also decreased by 3.8%, with computer fraud cases falling by 2.4% (from 246 to 240) and other cybercrimes reducing by 21.1% (from 19 to 15).
Not all indicators have improved. Serious and less serious offenses of injury and public disorder increased by 41.7% (from 12 to 17 cases). Robberies with force against homes also rose by 28.6% (from 14 to 18 cases), contrasting with the overall decrease in robberies with force, indicating that the decline is concentrated on establishments or other facilities. Vehicle thefts increased by 36.8% (from 19 to 26 cases), and drug trafficking grew by 12.5% (from 8 to 9 cases).
The municipality registered no completed homicides or murders during the first quarter of 2026, and attempted homicides dropped from 1 to 0 cases. No kidnappings were recorded either.
Overall, the trend is clearly favorable for Parla, with reductions in total crime, violent robberies, robberies with force, sexual offenses, and cybercrime. The drop in violent robberies, exceeding 50%, is significant for the sense of street security. However, the increase in public disorder incidents, home burglaries, vehicle thefts, and drug trafficking represent key areas to monitor.
