Sol Station, serving lines C-3, C-4a, and C-4b, will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. These works focus on tunnel improvements and will impact the usual train operations.
Trains on the C-3 line from Aranjuez will terminate at Atocha station. On the C-4 line, trains from Colmenar Viejo and Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes will end at Nuevos Ministerios, while those from Parla will conclude at Atocha.
To facilitate travel between Nuevos Ministerios and Atocha, passengers can use lines C-2, C-7, C-8, and C-10, which use the Recoletos tunnel and stop at that station.
These interventions aim to optimize the capacity of lines C-3 and C-4 within the Sol tunnel, as well as improve the C-5 line.
On the C-3, trains originating from Aranjuez and heading to Chamartín will not operate between Getafe Industrial, Pinto, and Valdemoro from 11:00 PM until the end of service. Pinto station will also be closed during nighttime hours. Trains from Aranjuez will start and end in Valdemoro, and those from Madrid will do so in Getafe Industrial, with an alternative bus service provided.
These same restrictions will apply on June 27 and 28, due to nighttime works by Adif on the catenary at Pinto station to enhance facility reliability.
On the C-5 (Móstoles-El Soto-Humanes), trains will start and end their routes at Atocha due to Adif works to expand the station's capacity. Passengers will need to transfer at Atocha.
The C-1 line (Chamartín-Aeropuerto T4) will experience a service adjustment this Saturday between 09:30 AM and 02:00 PM, so checking schedules is recommended.
Renfe is informing travelers about these works through station announcements, signage, social media, and WhatsApp.
