The festivities in San José de Valderas, Alcorcón, featured their most notable day with the traditional parade of Giants and 'Cabezudos', including the blessing of four new figures.

The town of San José de Valderas, in Alcorcón, intensely celebrated its most important festive day with the awaited parade of Giants and 'Cabezudos'. Hundreds of residents gathered to enjoy this traditional event, which this year has introduced four new characters: a firefighter, a police officer, a carpenter, and a 'trasgu' (a mythical creature).
The celebration also included a floral offering to Padre Zurita and the presentation of recognitions by the San José de Valderas Association. The mayor, Candelaria Testa, was present to hand over the keys to a new premises allocated to the neighborhood entity, reinforcing municipal support for local associations.
Meanwhile, the Antara Korai Choir Group marked its 20th anniversary in a packed Teatro Buero Vallejo. The event brought together choristers from different generations, family, and friends, creating an emotional atmosphere filled with memories. A documentary screened during the event reviewed the choir's history, featuring moments of humor and moving testimonies from its members and director, Juan Antonio Jiménez.
In the sports sector, AD Alcorcón has announced a change in its presidency. Antonio Sáez will take over the role following the acquisition of a majority stake by an investment group. Sáez faces the new stage with the objective of promoting the club's sporting and institutional growth, while Iván Bravo will remain linked to the entity.
However, not all news is positive. The Ciudadella Fest festival has been canceled, as announced by DJ Vicente One More Time, who cited a lack of support from the Alcorcón City Council. Although the possibility of moving the event to another city is being considered, the organizer hopes to revive the project in the town in future editions.
