The celebrations, declared of National Tourist Interest, offered an extensive agenda of activities organized by the Department of Mobility, Transport, Consumer Affairs and Festivities, in collaboration with various local clubs, associations, and entities.
The program combined traditional activities with cultural and musical proposals, with a special focus on events commemorating the city's role in the War of Independence. These included an institutional act in the Plaza del Pradillo, presided over by the mayor, and attended by the deputy minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport.
Ceremonies such as the laying of a laurel wreath at the tomb of mayor Andrés Torrejón, at the Casa de Andrés Torrejón, and at the monument dedicated to Simón Hernández were also held. Additionally, historical re-enactments, traditional scenes, and the Lantern Parade took place.
The musical offerings included concerts by artists such as Isabel Aaiún and David Otero at Liana Fuentes, as well as the Pop/Rock Night featuring La Pegatina, Darwin, and DJ Luke. At Liana Carpas, orchestras such as Princesa, Nexia, Azabache, La Misión, and Malibú performed. The Plaza de España hosted the show Lorca es Flamenco, by Pedro Fernández Embrujo, and family activities like Cantajuego: Megahits, Disco Junior.
The streets of Móstoles came alive with the Goyaesque Market, the Parade of Giants and Big-Heads, the XLIV Float Contest, an exhibition of Goyaesque Meninas, and the attractions of the fairground, culminating in a fireworks display.
Sports activities also played a prominent role, within the framework of Móstoles being the European City of Sport 2026. Events included the Queen's Cup in women's futsal, the Community of Madrid Boxing Championship in elite male and female categories, the Spanish Youth Men's Volleyball Championship, and the International Chess Open, alongside traditional tournaments.
To ensure inclusivity, adapted spaces for people with sensory diversity were provided during the parades. A comprehensive security operation, involving 1,489 Municipal Police services, drones, the Canine Unit, the Special Traffic Unit, public address systems, and security cameras in Finca Liana Park and the fairground, ensured the smooth running of the festivities.

"We appreciate the participation and collaboration of municipal services, security forces, Civil Protection, clubs, and social entities in the development of the festivities."
