Más Madrid-Compromiso con Getafe has opened the doors of its new headquarters on Leganés street, transforming it into a space for community engagement and participation.

The political group is launching this new phase with the exhibition ‘Cosas LGTBIQ+’, by local artist Martín Ibáñez, and a fanzine workshop. Both initiatives aim to celebrate Pride through art and collective creation.
The party's spokesperson, Ana González Mariscal, emphasized the importance of communal living as a form of resistance and mutual support. "We want our venue to be much more than a political headquarters; we want it to be an open space that brings many people together through culture, counter-culture, and creativity," she stated.
Más Madrid-Compromiso con Getafe plans to organize open, free, and accessible activities, promoting values such as equality, diversity, sustainability, and democratic memory. The exhibition ‘Cosas LGTBIQ+’, featuring paintings, drawings, and illustrations by Martín Ibáñez, will be available from Monday, June 22nd to Friday, June 25th. The fanzine workshop will take place on Monday, June 22nd, at 6:00 PM.
Martín Ibáñez's work explores the claim of the freedom to exist through daily life, suggesting that inhabiting a body can be a political stance in itself.

"Communal living, with your neighbors, has always been a form of resistance and mutual support for simple, working people. That's why we want our venue to be much more than a political headquarters; we want it to be an open space that brings many people together through culture, counter-culture, and creativity."

The program will continue on Friday, June 26th, at 6:00 PM with ‘Archivo Glitter: Playing with LGTBIQ+ Pop History’, an interactive game designed to test popular culture knowledge and celebrate LGTBIQ+ Pride through cultural references and humor.
The space is intended to host exhibitions, book presentations, film forums, talks, workshops, small-format acoustic concerts, neighborhood gatherings, and meetings for local associations. Projects linked to Getafe and promoting values of equality and social justice will be prioritized.
