A man has been injured in the right knee after being shot by National Police officers in Parla. The individual, who was allegedly intimidating several people with two bladed weapons, lunged at the officers upon their arrival.

The incident occurred around 7:50 AM at a service station on Calle Londres, in Parla, after several calls reported an individual making death threats and brandishing large knives. Upon arrival, officers attempted to control the situation, but the man reacted aggressively.
According to police sources, one of the officers initially fired shots into the air as a deterrent. However, given the individual's continued threatening behavior and advance towards the officers, he had to shoot him, with the projectile hitting the suspect in the right knee.
After being subdued, the officers themselves applied a tourniquet until emergency services arrived. The detainee, a Spanish citizen born in 1969, was transferred to a hospital, where he remains stable. He had allegedly been causing disturbances in public for several hours during the early morning.
