Man Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Metro in Fuenlabrada

A 42-year-old man was seriously injured with severe head trauma after being hit by a MetroSur train in Fuenlabrada during the early hours of April 28.

The incident occurred around 1:30 AM, when emergency services received an alert call. The event took place in the tunnel, between the Fuenlabrada Central and Parque Europa stations.
SUMMA paramedics arrived at the scene to attend to the injured man, who presented with multiple traumas and a severe head injury. Due to the circumstances, Community of Madrid Firefighters had to extricate the man, who had become trapped.
After being rescued, the man was intubated and transported to Hospital 12 de Octubre for specialized medical care. The National Police have launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding this serious incident.
