This initiative aims to resolve a situation of neglect lasting 15 years, during which the neighborhood has lived with an unfinished concrete structure. The tender for technical studies and project design has a maximum budget of 170,000 euros, with June 1st set as the deadline for companies to submit their bids.
According to the technical requirements, the successful bidder must submit the preliminary design and initial studies within one month of signing the commencement act. Subsequently, the execution project and the health and safety study must be completed within four months of the preliminary design's approval by the local government.
“"The future civic center will involve an investment that will allow for the definitive transformation of a space that for years has been a symbol of institutional abandonment in the Leganés Norte neighborhood."
The new facility is designed to act as a catalyst for the neighborhood's social and cultural life. The plan includes the creation of multipurpose spaces for workshops, training, exhibitions, and community activities, integrating into the neighborhood's sociocultural and sports hub, alongside the Central Library and the local sports complex.
