This operation will focus on the area located between the Prado Overa industrial estates, next to the A-42, and Leganés Tecnológico, where the second phase of the latter will be developed. The region is known for being one of the most affected by waste accumulation in the community.
“"This project seeks to protect the environment and combat the practices of those who do not comply with regulations. These people have no shame."
In addition to waste removal, complementary measures will be implemented to prevent future dumping. These include hiring a surveillance service with specialized personnel and installing concrete slabs to restrict vehicle access to the roads.
The contract for the cleanup has an estimated duration of eight months. Simultaneously, the permanent surveillance service, which began on May 5 with an investment of 118,000 euros, includes access control, 24-hour internal vehicle patrols, and collaboration with the State Security Forces. Surveillance professionals will prepare daily reports on incidents detected.
These actions are part of the preparations for the second phase of urbanization of the Leganés Tecnológico industrial park, which will cover one million square meters and involve an investment of 2.2 million euros.
