The cultural initiative, returning after a three-year hiatus, aims to offer diverse and accessible entertainment for all audiences. Mayor Miguel Ángel Recuenco recalled the history of the Teatro Egaleo stage, which has hosted renowned artists over four decades.
The Councilor for Culture, Mercedes Neria, explained that Thursdays will be dedicated to family cinema with screenings like 'Paddington', 'Beetlejuice', 'Minecraft', and 'Superman'. She also emphasized the free nature of all events as an effort to make culture accessible to all families.
Music will be a highlight on Saturdays in July. Reincidentes will perform on July 4th, followed by Modestia Aparte on July 5th. Vicky Gastelo is scheduled for July 11th, and Marta Soto on July 18th. The month concludes with Zenet on July 25th. The lineup also includes tribute acts to bands like Héroes del Silencio ('Oración'), Hombres G ('Los Geiperman'), Leño ('La Leñera'), and Joaquín Sabina ('Arrivederci Lola').
All shows will begin at 10:15 PM, with doors opening an hour prior. The performances by singer-songwriters Vicky Gastelo and Marta Soto, who will have opening acts, will start at 9:15 PM. Tickets will go on sale on the Monday of each event week at 11:00 AM via the Giglón website.
