During the resumption of the trial with a jury, a witness recounted having lunch with Adil on the day of the events and later picking up a man whose appearance matches that of one of the defendants. According to his testimony, this individual remained in the vehicle with the victim just before the fatal attack.
The incident occurred on November 23, 2021. From the outset of the investigation, the National Police's Homicide Unit considered the possibility of a settling of scores due to the crime's characteristics. However, the motive for the murder remains unclear, as the evidence gathered so far has not definitively established the reason for the shooting.
“"Yes, he was involved in drug 'vuelco' (robbery of narcotics from other dealers)."
In previous sessions, specialists from the Scientific Police presented analyses indicating that five fingerprints attributed to one of the defendants were found in the victim's vehicle. Furthermore, DNA from the second defendant and gunpowder residue were identified on black gloves discovered a short distance from the car.
The defense teams dispute that these findings prove their clients' involvement in the homicide and question the prosecution's interpretation. Conversely, the prosecution maintains that the scientific evidence directly links both defendants to scenarios related to the crime.
A nurse who attended to the injured man after the vehicle was found recounted that he was still conscious and asking for help upon arrival, despite suffering extremely severe injuries. She explained that the victim was bleeding profusely from the head and vomiting while she attempted to assist him and engage him in conversation to calm him.
The trial will continue in upcoming sessions with the appearance of new witnesses and experts. The two defendants are scheduled to testify before the court on July 1st, prior to the jury issuing its verdict.
