Fuenlabrada Fire: Twelve Affected, Eight Hospitalized for Smoke Inhalation

Twelve people were affected this Thursday by a fire in a home in Fuenlabrada, eight of whom were transferred to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation.

The incident occurred at 3:40 PM after the 112 of the Community of Madrid received several calls reporting a fire on the third floor of a building located on Calle Delicias.
Upon arrival, the Firefighters of the Community of Madrid encountered a well-developed fire in the dwelling. After confirming no one was inside the affected apartment, they proceeded to rescue several residents from adjacent apartments and the floor above, who were confined by smoke in the stairwell.
Subsequently, the crews managed to extinguish the flames. SUMMA paramedics attended to a total of twelve affected individuals. Eight of them were transferred in mild condition to the Hospital of Fuenlabrada for smoke inhalation.
At present, the causes that originated the fire have not been disclosed.
