Getafe Prepares for its 2026 Festivities with a Diverse Program

The city will host a wide range of concerts, traditional activities, and events for all ages from May 14 to 31.

The city of Getafe is gearing up to celebrate its 2026 Festivities, taking place from May 14 to 31, offering a varied program that combines music, tradition, and activities for all audiences.

The festive calendar includes emblematic events such as the Bajada de la Virgen de los Ángeles, as well as concerts by renowned artists like Kiko Veneno, Bustamante, and Sidonie. Additionally, there will be a float parade, a Youth Area with DJs, children's activities, club gatherings, sports competitions, and religious ceremonies.
The celebrations will be spread across various locations in the town, including the Fairgrounds, the Plaza de la Constitución, Lorenzo Azofra Park, the Juan de la Cierva Sports Center, La Alhóndiga Park, and the Cerro de los Ángeles, among other municipal spaces.
Among the highlights, the Bajada de la Sagrada Imagen de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles will take place on May 14. On May 22, the Fairgrounds will host a concert by Kiko Veneno, followed by a performance by La Tribu. On May 23, the Plaza de la Constitución will be the setting for the festival's opening speech, and the Fairgrounds will come alive with a concert by Bustamante and a KISS FM party.
On May 24, the Fairgrounds will welcome Sidonie, while on May 25, a Michael Jackson tribute concert will be held in the Plaza de la Constitución. Activities will continue until May 31, culminating with the Quema de la Chamá Getafense in the Plaza de España.
The sports program will also have its place, with events such as the 44th Bicycle and Wheel Festival on May 10 and rhythmic gymnastics and calva championships. The Youth Area, located at the Juan de la Cierva Municipal Sports Complex, will offer DJ sessions from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM, with specific alcohol-free hours for minors.
