The closing ceremony of the exhibition ‘Allegories of Francoist Repression’, a display of drawings by Gorgonio Ferrero organized by the Getafe City Council, will take place on May 13. This event is part of the Democratic Memory activities promoted by the municipal corporation.
The event, starting at 6:00 PM at the Sector III Civic Center, will include the presentation of the politician's book, titled La democracia expansiva. O cómo ir superando el capitalismo. In this work, the author reflects on democracy, social inequality, rights, and contemporary political challenges.

The exhibition, which can be visited from April 28 to May 13 at the Sector III Civic Center, located at Avenida Arcas del Agua, 1, focuses on the repression and social consequences of the Francoist dictatorship through the work of Gorgonio Ferrero.
The event will feature an open conversation with the public, moderated by a journalist, discussing democratic memory, political polarization, social rights, and current challenges to democracy. This space will also serve to contextualize the art exhibition.
