This free public service, promoted by the Municipal Land and Housing Company (EMSV), has assisted nearly 5,000 families from all neighborhoods in the municipality. The goal is to optimize contracts, access aid, and improve energy efficiency in homes.
The Councilor for Housing, Gema Cáceres, recalled the City Council's commitment against energy poverty. "Faced with the increase in utility prices in recent years, we from the City Council maintain our commitment to the right to energy and the fight against energy poverty so as not to leave anyone behind," she stated.
So far in 2026 alone, the accumulated savings for assisted families exceed 300,000 euros. Households that use the service, with an average bill of around 70 euros, achieve a reduction of close to 20% in their energy expenses after EMSV's advice.
The program also offers support in energy rehabilitation, self-consumption, and the promotion of energy communities, providing information on available aid.
To facilitate access, the Healthy Homes Office has expanded its in-person service points, adding five new weekly locations at the Civic Centers of La Alhóndiga, San Isidro, Las Margaritas, Juan de la Cierva, and Getafe Norte, in addition to the central EMSV headquarters.
