The Getafe City Council opened this Wednesday the application period for economic aid of up to 1,500 euros for rent, as part of its Municipal Housing Plan.

This initiative, which is part of the modifications introduced in the 2025 call, aims to facilitate the access and establishment of young and middle-aged families in the locality. The direct aid seeks to offer significant support to residents.
Municipal sources have highlighted that the bases have been made more flexible to allow access for a greater number of families. Among the modifications are the elimination of the requirement for a minimum effort level of 30% of income and the removal of minimum income requirements, maintaining only the maximums.

"We offer direct support to working families who have chosen Getafe to build their life project. We continue to implement concrete solutions to the housing problem."

Applications previously submitted under the initial call will remain valid. However, an additional period of 20 business days, starting June 17 and ending July 14, is now open for those who meet the modified requirements to submit new applications.
To access this aid, applicants must meet requirements such as having a rental contract with at least one year of seniority, being registered in Getafe with a minimum of two years of residency, and the monthly rent not exceeding 1,100 euros, excluding additional costs like community fees or property tax (IBI).
