A self-propelled suction sweeping machine, a drag sweeping machine, and four top-loading collection trucks will be incorporated. All vehicles feature the ECO label, ensuring their low environmental impact.
This new machinery has been financed through the Regional Investment Program of the Community of Madrid for the period 2022-2026 (PIR 2022-2026), with an investment exceeding 2.2 million euros.
The City Council's objective is to move towards a more sustainable fleet adapted to new technologies. These new vehicles, being less polluting and more efficient, aim to contribute to reducing the municipality's carbon footprint and thus improve air quality and public health.
The implementation of state-of-the-art technologies in the new equipment will allow for greater durability and lower maintenance costs, which will translate into more efficient and economical long-term management, according to the municipal government.
