For the third consecutive year, the Fuenlabrada council reinforces its commitment to the fight against gender violence, launching this initiative to support the recovery and promote the independence of women in situations of particular vulnerability.
These grants, which can reach up to 1,200 euros, are designed to complement and facilitate the recovery of beneficiaries, allowing them to cover essential expenses such as utilities, transport, or education. The call will be open from May 1st to June 30th.
All women who can prove their status as victims of gender violence and are registered in the municipality will be eligible for these benefits. Furthermore, this edition has introduced a modification in the concession process to simplify procedures and facilitate access for potential beneficiaries.
“"This measure aims to respond to the vulnerable situation of these women, promoting their socioeconomic recovery through a coordinated approach between different municipal areas and making available the public resources."
The call has an initial budget of 40,951 euros, which could be extended by an additional 35,000 euros. These grants are part of the agreement signed with the Community of Madrid and are financed with funds from the State Pact against gender violence, in addition to municipal contributions. In the two previous editions, 85 women and their children benefited from this economic support program.
