Fuenlabrada City Council has announced a new grant program totaling 650,000 euros to promote home improvements, energy efficiency, and financial support for young residents.

The municipal program is divided into three main areas. The first focuses on accessibility for people over 65 or those with functional diversity, funding installations such as ramps or elevators with up to 20,000 euros, which can increase to 25,000 euros for multiple improvements. Additionally, replacing bathtubs with showers is supported with 1,200 euros.
Regarding sustainability, 100,000 euros have been allocated to reduce energy consumption in buildings. Homeowners' associations can apply for up to 5,000 euros for shared solar installations, while individual improvements, such as solar panels or window replacements, receive up to 1,200 euros.
The third line of subsidies is aimed at young people aged 18 to 35 to help cover gas and electricity bills. This 200,000-euro fund covers up to 70% of utility costs, with a maximum limit of 1,200 euros per applicant.
The application period remains open until October 11. The process is managed by the Municipal Housing Institute, and applications can be submitted electronically or in person at their offices on Calle Norte.
