Adif has tendered for the design project, worth 2.6 million euros, for the remodeling of the Griñón station and the installation of a second electrified track on the Humanes-Griñón-Illescas route. This action is a preliminary step before the works tender.
The intervention aims to restore the Griñón station, which will feature a renovated passenger building, two platforms covered by canopies and connected by an underpass with an elevator. Parking facilities and improved access are also planned.
The project will define the necessary actions to lay a second track over a 9.4-kilometer stretch between Humanes and Illescas, along with its electrification system and the signaling and communication equipment.
This initiative is part of Adif's major projects in Madrid to expand the Cercanías network, connecting Illescas with Humanes.
