The city of Fuenlabrada has been the venue for Robocampeones, Spain's largest school robotics competition, where over 3,000 students presented their creations on April 29.

The event, held at the Fernando Martín sports pavilion, brought together secondary and primary students from 65 regional high schools. They showcased the robots and robotic installations they had developed throughout the school year in their respective educational centers.
Participants, organized into teams, competed in two main modalities. One involved bot competitions, where they demonstrated their programming skills in challenges such as Sumo, Hockey bot, and Soccer bot.
The other modality allowed teams to present their robotics and home automation projects, many of which stood out for their innovative nature and real-life applicability. This edition featured 139 projects, some created with 3D printers or LEGO pieces.

"The objective is to foster scientific-technical vocations among our students through the use of educational robotics in the classroom."

the Education Councilor
The Education Councilor emphasized that hosting this event annually aligns with the educational support policies provided by the City Council to families and educational centers in the city. Robocampeones is organized by the IES Carpe Diem of Fuenlabrada and the City Council itself.
