The Fuenlabrada City Council has announced a 74% increase in the budget for the new street cleaning and green area maintenance service in the Loranca, Nuevo Versalles, and Parque Mirafores district, with an investment exceeding 8.5 million euros until 2029.

This budget increase includes an 86% rise for street cleaning and bulky waste collection services, and an additional 62% for green area maintenance. The measure aims to optimize the quality of these essential services for residents.
Among the most notable improvements is the expansion of the workforce, with the addition of ten new employees: seven for the cleaning team and three for gardening. This brings the total number of workers to 48, representing a 20.6% increase in hours dedicated to street cleaning and a 16% increase in green area personnel.
Furthermore, the new contract includes a 42% increase in machinery and vehicles for cleaning services. Fifteen new vehicles of various types and high-quality equipment will be incorporated, designed to improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions, especially noise.

"With this service, the Fuenlabrada City Council reaffirms its commitment to environmental care, sustainability, and quality of life in the city's neighborhoods."

Soledad Martín · Councillor for Sustainability, Environment, and Public Space
Other enhancements in the new agreement cover the review of routes, schedules, and cleaning frequencies in the district, continuous evaluation of the condition of lawns, hedges, and trees in green areas, and thorough monitoring of all incidents that may arise.

"The objective is to achieve the highest quality levels in this service, comparable to those of the rest of the city, for the benefit of all."

Raúl Jubín · Councillor for JMD Loranca
