Thirteen units from the Madrid Community Fire Department worked from 4:50 PM to control a fire declared in an industrial park in Ciempozuelos, near kilometer 32 of the A-4.

The fire originated in a grassland area adjacent to an aluminum extrusion facility. Due to windy conditions, the flames rapidly spread to the exterior of the plant.
The combustion of aluminum material stored outdoors generated a large smoke column visible from the area. The grassland fire has now been brought under control by the emergency crews.
Firefighters are currently focusing their efforts on preventing the fire from reaching the covered section of the industrial building. No injuries or intoxications have been reported, although a preventive health unit from SUMMA 112 was deployed to the scene.
