The incident, affecting line C4 of the Cercanías de Madrid network, was confirmed by Adif via its social media channels. The entity clarified that the fire originated close to the track but is unrelated to the railway infrastructure in the Getafe Sector 3 area.
As a consequence of the event, delays and traffic jams have been reported on the aforementioned train line.
