The Municipal Services Company of Alcorcón (ESMASA) has issued an official statement condemning recent social media posts by Pedro Moreno Gómez, spokesperson for Vox in the Alcorcón City Council and a member of the public company's Board of Directors. The entity considers these publications, which directly referred to employees currently on medical leave, to be “intolerable”. ESMASA has publicly conveyed its support for all staff, highlighting the professionalism and daily effort of its workers, who perform their duties “with professionalism and rigor” and contribute to improving the city.
The statement also addresses claims regarding the brush-clearing service. The company asserts that the criticisms made do not reflect reality and recalls that it has recently reinforced this service by providing specific training to nearly thirty workers from other areas. Furthermore, ESMASA reports the incorporation of new specialized machinery to complement the company's existing resources, an action deemed particularly relevant during the summer months due to the increased fire risk caused by high temperatures.
The municipal company insists that it works daily to offer the best possible service to the residents of Alcorcón and rejects any attack or public targeting of its employees. In this regard, management believes that the statements made are detrimental to the dignity and integrity of the staff, which is why it announces that it will study the adoption of appropriate measures to protect the rights of its employees.
