The Popular Party of Madrid has launched its electoral strategy for the 2027 polls by announcing the first 29 candidates who will run in various municipalities across the region.

The decision was ratified during the Regional Board of Directors meeting, following the Electoral Committee session. This initial list includes both returning heads of lists and new profiles, aiming to strengthen the party's position in towns where they do not currently hold the mayoralty.
Key municipalities included in this first wave are Getafe, Alcorcón, Parla, Rivas-Vaciamadrid, and San Fernando de Henares. According to data provided by the party, the group consists of 20 men and 9 women, with an average age of 49.
The selection process incorporates both individuals with experience in local government and new figures from other sectors. Additionally, the party has appointed a new communications head to coordinate the strategy for the upcoming electoral cycle.
