The regional administration has stated its position on the distribution of the treasury, arguing that the majority of the resources should be allocated to regional coffers to compensate for previous investments. Conversely, the local government claims an amount close to 30 million euros, asserting that this figure is what the municipality is entitled to according to its own calculations.
Faced with this situation, the municipal executive has announced that it will take legal action, in both civil and criminal courts, to challenge the approved liquidation. The council maintains that the accounts validated by the Board of Directors do not comply with the statutes or the founding philosophy of the urban entity.
The local government has linked the current slowdown in public works execution in the town to the lack of these financial resources. For its part, the Community of Madrid has reiterated that the funds it retains will be used for specific projects and actions within the municipality of Parla.
