The initiative, now in its twelfth year, has already promoted 17,697 establishments. This figure is expected to grow with the 2026 call, which will feature recreational and leisure activities in the main commercial areas of participating municipalities to attract shoppers to local stores.
The program, which began on May 30th in Alcalá de Henares, will visit a total of 23 towns until October 24th, when it concludes in Leganés. Each municipality will host family-friendly entertainment, including shows and interactive attractions, alongside the distribution of gift tickets and special promotions.
The Council of Economy, Treasury, and Employment is driving this program to encourage local shopping, raise awareness of the commercial offerings in Madrid's towns and cities, and boost their sales.
To date, the initiative has visited municipalities such as Alcalá de Henares, Sevilla la Nueva, Tres Cantos, Las Rozas de Madrid, Cubas de la Sagra, San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Navalcarnero, Boadilla del Monte, Aranjuez, Titulcia, and San Lorenzo de El Escorial. July concluded in Miraflores de la Sierra.
Following an August break, Comercios Mágicos will resume its tour in Valdemoro (September 5th), Rivas-Vaciamadrid (11th), Alcorcón (12th), Carabaña (19th), Móstoles (26th), Fuenlabrada (October 2nd), Arganda del Rey (3rd), Navas del Rey (10th), and Brunete (17th), before its final stop in Leganés on October 24th. The town of Colmenar del Arroyo is awaiting a new date after the fair's suspension due to recent fires.
The full program, schedule, and planned actions in each municipality can be found on the program's official website.
