The Community of Madrid's 'Comercios Mágicos' program has supported 17,697 small businesses to date. This initiative, now in its twelfth year, primarily aims to promote local consumption and showcase the commercial offerings of Madrid's municipalities.
This year's edition, which began on May 30th in Alcalá de Henares, will run until October 24th, concluding in Leganés. Throughout this period, the program will visit a total of 23 towns and cities in the region. Each stop features family-friendly entertainment, such as shows and interactive attractions, alongside the distribution of gift tickets, discounts, and special promotions redeemable at participating stores.
The Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Employment is driving this initiative to boost sales and increase the visibility of shops in towns and cities across the Community of Madrid.
So far, 'Comercios Mágicos' has visited municipalities including Alcalá de Henares, Sevilla la Nueva, Tres Cantos, Las Rozas de Madrid, Cubas de la Sagra, San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Navalcarnero, Boadilla del Monte, Aranjuez, Titulcia, and San Lorenzo de El Escorial. July concluded in Miraflores de la Sierra.
Following the summer break, the program will resume in September in Valdemoro (5th), Rivas-Vaciamadrid (11th), Alcorcón (12th), and Carabaña (19th), followed by Móstoles (26th). In October, events are scheduled for Fuenlabrada (2nd), Arganda del Rey (3rd), Navas del Rey (10th), and Brunete (17th), before the final event in Leganés on the 24th. The town of Colmenar del Arroyo's date is pending rescheduling due to a temporary suspension caused by recent fires.
Comprehensive details regarding the schedule, full calendar, and specific actions in each municipality are available on the program's official website.
