Four units from the Community of Madrid Fire Department had to intervene early Sunday morning in a bus fire that occurred on Tulipán street in Móstoles. According to emergency services, the vehicle was traveling without passengers when the fire broke out. Upon the firefighters' arrival, the flames completely engulfed the bus, leaving it totally burnt out.
The rapid action of the personnel allowed for the fire to be extinguished and prevented from spreading to other vehicles or nearby public elements. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a consequence of the incident.
This incident in Móstoles adds to two other significant incidents that occurred on Sunday on Madrid roads. On the M-600 highway, near Brunete, seven cyclists were run over. Of the injured, one was in serious condition, four moderate, and two minor. The driver of the involved car, a 19-year-old, was also treated for an anxiety attack.
Furthermore, in the San Blas district of Madrid capital, a collision involving a VTC vehicle, a car, and a National Police patrol car left eight people injured. One of them was in potentially serious condition and was transferred along with the others to different city hospitals.
