The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, along with the mayor of Pinto, Salomón Aguado, presided over the key handover ceremony for 422 homes under the Plan Vive.

The Community of Madrid has taken another step in its commitment to accessible housing with the delivery of 422 new rental homes in Pinto. The event, chaired by regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso and the local mayor Salomón Aguado, also included the presence of the Minister of Housing, Transport, and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, and local government councilors.
These 422 homes, built on public land with a private investment of nearly 38 million euros, offer rents up to 40% lower than market rates. The unit distribution includes 221 one-bedroom, 173 two-bedroom, and 28 three-bedroom apartments, with 17 units reserved for individuals with reduced mobility. All residences come equipped with amenities such as parking spaces, storage rooms, coworking areas, a gym, a swimming pool, a basketball court, and children's play areas, fostering a public-private collaboration model.
These homes are part of the ambitious Plan Vive, which aims to complete nearly 3,200 properties by the end of 2026. In total, the Community of Madrid has already delivered 5,785 homes through this plan, benefiting approximately 15,000 young people and families in the region.

"Housing continues to be the regional government's main priority, which we are materializing today with this key handover."

President Ayuso highlighted the regional executive's commitment to increasing affordable rental supply through public-private collaboration via the Plan Vive. She also pointed out that the Community of Madrid has built over 40% of all protected housing in Spain since 2019, establishing itself as the leading region in protected housing construction nationwide.
For his part, Mayor Aguado described the current term as 'the legislature of housing in Pinto,' thanks to initiatives such as the Plan Vive, the Municipal Neighborhood Rehabilitation Plan, and the Anti-Squatting Plan, all aimed at protecting property owners and enhancing the quality of life in the municipality.
