The National Police have arrested an individual for allegedly selling dozens of cameras stolen from the Rey Juan Carlos University campus in Móstoles online, recovering most of the devices and a significant amount of cash.

The investigation began in mid-March, following a complaint filed by the university itself, which reported the theft of 59 recording devices from one of its buildings in Móstoles. Agents discovered that some of the missing equipment was being offered for sale on a digital marketplace platform, which allowed them to track the items.
The inquiries led to a residence in Alcalá de Henares, where a search was conducted on April 15. Inside the home, the National Police recovered most of the stolen cameras. In total, 52 devices, valued at approximately 40,000 euros, were seized and have since been returned to the university.

"Today, those responsible for the National Police Station in Móstoles have handed over the cameras that had been stolen from the university."
