An individual has been arrested in Alcalá de Henares for attempting to sell 52 video cameras stolen from the Rey Juan Carlos University in Móstoles, which he was offering on online sales platforms.

The National Police have apprehended a man who was allegedly trying to sell 52 video cameras that had been stolen from the Rey Juan Carlos University. The information was confirmed by the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid.
The investigation began in mid-March, following a report from the university. The institution reported the theft of 59 video cameras from one of the buildings on its campus located in Móstoles. The items were removed from a room after forcing the access door.
Police inquiries revealed that the stolen equipment was being offered on various digital sales platforms, where the now-detained individual was listing the items. As the investigation progressed, agents located the objects at the suspect's home in Alcalá de Henares.
On April 15, a search and entry was carried out at the residence, where 52 cameras were recovered. These have since been returned to the university. Additionally, during the search, over 21,000 euros in cash were found at the home. The operation concluded with the suspect's arrest, accused of a presumed crime of receiving stolen goods.
