Aranjuez: Traffic Disruptions for Motín Festivities from September 2nd to 6th

From this Wednesday, September 2nd, to Sunday the 6th, traffic in Aranjuez will be affected by closures and restrictions due to the Motín Festivities.

The celebration of the Motín Festivities 2026 in Aranjuez will involve various traffic disruptions between September 2nd and 6th. Closures and restrictions have been scheduled at different points in the city to ensure the smooth running of events.
On Wednesday, September 2nd, from 16:30 to 01:00, one entry and one exit lane will be available via the north access, connecting the Tranzón de las 12 Calles (fairground) with Plaza de Santiago Rusiñol.
On Thursday, September 3rd, Carrera de Andalucía at Real may experience traffic closures between 10:00 and 21:00 due to the setup of the craft fair. In the afternoon, from 16:30 to 03:00, one entry and exit lane will be maintained via the north access. At 21:30, Plaza de la Constitución may be closed to traffic from the streets Abastos with Postas, Stuart with San Pascual, and Gobernador with Almíbar until the performances conclude. At 22:00, Plaza San Antonio will be closed, with disruptions at Carrera de Andalucía with Gobernador and Plaza de Santiago Rusiñol with Avda. del Palacio, reopening around 05:30 the next day.
On Friday, September 4th, C/ Stuart, between Gobernador and Real, will be closed to traffic from 10:00 to 14:00 for the Children's Bull Run. The north access will maintain one entry and exit lane from 16:30 to 03:00. At 20:30, Príncipe street, between Capitán and Stuart, will be closed for the performance of the Assault on Godoy's House, with diversions towards the Hospital via C/ Rey and Carrera de Andalucía. Plaza de la Constitución will be closed at 21:00. C/ Infantas, between Capitán and Rey, will be closed from 16:00 to 04:00 for stage setup and a concert. Plaza de San Antonio will be closed at 22:30, and C/ Palacio Silvela and the surrounding area of Raso de la Estrella will be closed from 22:00 to 06:00.
On Saturday, September 5th, neighborhood parties will take place in areas like C/ Verderón, C/ Córdoba, Gta. del Clavel, and C/ Libertad (AGFA) from 08:00 to 15:00. Plaza de la Constitución will be closed at 22:00. Plaza de San Antonio will be closed at 22:30. The north access will maintain one entry and exit lane from 16:30 to 03:00. C/ Palacio Silvela and the area of Raso de la Estrella will remain closed from 22:00 to 06:00. C/ Infantas will be closed from 16:00 to 04:00 for a concert.
On Sunday, September 6th, the Puente de Barcas will have one exit lane for the city and another for pedestrians due to the Pirate Descent. At 18:30, the area around the Plaza de Toros will be closed for a bullfighting event. At 21:00, Plaza de la Constitución will be closed to traffic. From 16:00 to 02:00, the north access will maintain one entry and exit lane. At 23:00, the Puente Barcas and Gta. de Fernando VI will be closed for fireworks at the Antigua Harinera.
Pedestrian lanes to the fairground will be enabled on the evenings of September 2nd to 6th, maintaining one entry and one exit lane. Entry and exit towards Madrid via the A-4 will be via pK47 or pK 52. On Friday the 4th, from approximately 20:30, the exit towards the Hospital will be via C/ de la Reina, Puente Barcas, and Carrera de Andalucía. Traffic closures may be subject to variations.
