The main objective of this initiative is to give visibility to the municipality's commercial fabric, transforming Parque de la Paz into a large showcase. During the two days, participating establishments will have stalls to display and sell their products, complemented by live musical performances, workshops, and recreational activities for all ages.
“"There is a firm commitment to local commerce."
The president of the Municipal Institute of Employment and Economic Promotion (Imepe) has highlighted the City Council's support for local commerce, encouraging small businesses to take advantage of this free space to sell, gain recognition, and strengthen relationships with their customers.
The fair will open on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Additionally, those who make purchases exceeding 10 euros will receive a promotional gift, such as bags, flowers, or t-shirts.
“"The hybrid nature of a fair that combines the atmosphere of book fairs with that of neighborhood markets."
The councilor for Culture and Festivities has emphasized the hybrid nature of the event, which merges the atmosphere of book fairs with that of neighborhood markets. The proposal seeks to create a meeting point around local commerce, culture, and shared leisure, aiming for neighborhood shopping to once again feel like an appealing plan.
Businesses interested in participating can register through the form available on La Colina de Alcorcón's website until April 27th. The call is aimed at retailers with direct sales to the public, prioritizing bookstores and establishments related to books. Stall assignments will be made in order of registration.
This fair represents a significant boost for small businesses in a context of fierce competition. Alcorcón is committed to bringing its businesses to the streets, turning a park into a collective showcase with a festive atmosphere, aiming to remind residents of the importance of supporting local economic activity and neighborhood life.
