The II Social Pediatrics Conference will take place in Alcorcón on May 11, bringing together professionals to discuss care for vulnerable children and the impact of social inequalities.

Under the theme ‘Education and Health: realities and challenges,’ the Viñagrande Civic Center in Alcorcón will host this gathering. The conference is aimed at professionals from the health, education, and social sectors, seeking to establish itself as a benchmark for care models focused on prevention and positive treatment from childhood.
During the event, crucial topics such as the impact of social inequalities on child health, adverse childhood experiences, and changes in cohabitation models will be addressed. A highlight will be the promotion of animal-assisted therapies, developed in collaboration with social entities, as a tool to improve the emotional well-being of vulnerable minors.

"In Alcorcón, we approach the care of children and adolescents from a comprehensive perspective, with actions aimed at promoting their health, development, and good treatment, based on the general principles of guaranteeing their rights and freedoms, as well as their protection."
