The records of annulment, separation, and divorce filings in the Community of Madrid reveal that Alcorcón is among the municipalities with the lowest rates. With 13.1% of filings per 10,000 inhabitants, the locality is below the regional average, which stands at 15.4%.
This data contrasts with other cities in the southern region, such as Alcalá de Henares (18.3%), Móstoles (16.5%), or Fuenlabrada (16.3%), which show higher figures. Even Madrid capital, with 13.5%, slightly exceeds Alcorcón's rate.
The downward trend in divorce filings in Alcorcón is notable, especially when compared to municipalities like Navalcarnero (22.9%), Torrelaguna (22.7%), Parla (21.6%), and Valdemoro (21.2%), which show significantly higher rates. This situation reflects a unique panorama for the city within the regional context.
Nationally, the decrease in divorce filings has been 13.3%, totaling 84,424. Although Madrid's regional average remains below other autonomous communities such as the Balearic Islands or the Canary Islands, Alcorcón's position stands out for its particularity in this area.
