The Retamar de la Huerta urban development in Alcorcón is progressing with an investment of over 23 million euros, focusing on sustainability, the creation of green areas, and urban furniture improvements.

This project includes the creation of 30 hectares of natural spaces and the restoration of the livestock trails Vereda de Segovia and Vereda de Villaviciosa, transforming them into pedestrian and cycling corridors. Additionally, it features key actions such as reforestation, connection to the Parque Regional del Curso Medio del Río Guadarrama, and the regeneration of streams through river parks and efficient water management systems, enhancing ecological connectivity and environmental quality in the municipality.
This news is set against a backdrop of local activity, which also included the AEPA Awards ceremony, organized by the Association of Businesspeople and Professionals of Alcorcón, held at Sala Jowke. The gala recognized the efforts of the city's business and social fabric.
Furthermore, the long-standing trajectory of Motor Cebis was highlighted, a mechanical workshop with over two decades of history in the Parque de Lisboa neighborhood, which has served thousands of vehicles since the year 2000.
For the weekend, Alcorcón's cultural agenda offers various options. The Teatro Municipal Buero Vallejo hosts the comedy show No cruces los brazos by comedian David Cepo, an interactive performance promising continuous laughter. Tickets are close to selling out.
Moreover, the Centro Cívico Viñagrande will host the II ADMS Diabetes Conference, themed “A Day with Diabetes.” This event, aimed at patients, families, and professionals, seeks to raise awareness about the reality of people with diabetes and promote healthy lifestyle habits.
