The Alcorcón City Council has initiated a citizen participation program, organizing meetings in various neighborhoods to collect ideas and proposals that will shape the local Urban Agenda.

This series of meetings, aimed at fostering direct resident involvement, began in the Igueldo, Alcorcón II, and Ondarreta neighborhoods. The main objective is to gather information and suggestions from residents, culminating in a Neighborhood Assembly where contributions will be discussed.

"We have launched this initiative in the Igueldo, Alcorcón II, and Ondarreta neighborhoods, gathering the information that residents wish to convey to us, to conclude with a Neighborhood Assembly where we can exchange opinions, ideas, and proposals."

Miguel A. González · Councillor for Urban Agenda, Planning, Development and City Maintenance
The meeting schedule will continue with several key dates. Today, Tuesday, an information table will be set up at the Gregorio Marañón Health Center, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. On Wednesday, April 15, the activity will move to the Pirata Pata Palo Children's Park, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. On Wednesday, April 22, it will take place between Río Miño and Olimpiada streets, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The round of meetings will conclude on Thursday, April 24, in Ondarreta Square, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

"We want to transform Alcorcón through an alliance with its citizens because we have a very clear premise: we all design the future of our city together."

Candelaria Testa · Mayor of Alcorcón
Mayor Candelaria Testa has encouraged citizens to actively participate in the ‘The Urban Agenda in your neighborhood’ proposal, emphasizing the importance of neighborhood collaboration to build a "solid, cohesive, and participatory" city project. The initiative will culminate with a Neighborhood Assembly scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 6:00 PM at the Salvador Allende Senior Center, where the mayor will also be present.
