Citizens of Alcorcón, aged 16 and over and registered, have until April 27th to participate in the final voting phase of the first 2026 Participatory Budgets, choosing the projects to be implemented with municipal resources.

This pioneering initiative in Alcorcón aims to consolidate citizen participation in municipal planning, allowing residents to directly influence the allocation of funds for various proposals.

"The involvement of residents in the development of the municipality and the importance of the alliance with citizens to build the future of Alcorcón is fundamental. No proposal will go unexecuted, as a thank you for the involvement of Alcorcón residents."

Candelaria Testa · Mayor of Alcorcón
Following a thorough technical validation phase, a total of 50 proposals have been selected for the final vote. Participants can choose one 'City' scope project, which will benefit the entire locality, and one 'District' scope project, applicable to specific areas such as Casco Antiguo, Ensanche Sur, Norte, or Suroeste. Each of these projects has a budget of 150,000 euros.

"The exercise of analysis, evaluation, and improvement proposals carried out by residents to make their needs known is a vital aspect for this Governing Team."

Sonia López · Fifth Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Citizen Participation, Feminism, and Seniors
The proposals cover a wide range of needs and priorities, from the installation of electric vehicle charging points, smart pedestrian crossings, and dog recreation areas, to the creation of school podcasts or a shared resource bank. Voting is conducted securely and transparently, using electronic systems and in-person points assisted by municipal staff.
