This significant budget allocation includes 13.75 million euros for direct environmental interventions and an additional 9.5 million for landscaping, efficient irrigation systems, and modern urban furniture.
One of the project's cornerstones is the recovery and enhancement of the livestock trails Vereda de Segovia and Vereda de Villaviciosa. With an investment of 1.5 million euros, these trails will be transformed into natural corridors and public spaces, integrating pedestrian and cycling paths that will improve the connection between the urbanization and its natural surroundings.
The Vereda de Segovia will stretch almost three kilometers from north to south, with a width of 10 meters and a four-meter tree-lined path. Meanwhile, the Vereda de Villaviciosa will run parallel to the Madre stream for 785 meters, facilitating sustainable mobility and connecting Campodón with rural areas near the M-50.
Furthermore, the plan includes the creation of 30 hectares of new green areas and the reforestation of linear parks adjacent to natural watercourses. These actions will establish a direct connection with the Regional Park of the Middle Course of the Guadarrama River, allowing access on foot or by bicycle from the neighborhood itself.
Finally, interventions will be carried out on the Madre stream and the Pasidre ravine through the creation of river parks and the implementation of sustainable water management systems, such as storm tanks. These elements will contribute to the regeneration of local ecosystems, incorporating over 1,300 trees that will consolidate a valuable green corridor in the municipality.
