Residents of Alcorcón and other towns in the Community of Madrid can now check the real-time location of interurban buses and their arrival times via Google Maps, a measure aimed at improving user experience.

This new feature, implemented in the public transport system of the Community of Madrid, allows users in Alcorcón to accurately know the distance of their bus from the stop. The initiative is particularly relevant for citizens of Alcorcón, who have been affected by complications arising from the undergrounding of the A-5 highway.
The tool provides greater accuracy in information, enabling travelers to know the estimated arrival time of each interurban bus. This improvement not only facilitates journey planning but also optimizes connections between different municipalities in the Community of Madrid.
To access this information, users simply need to open the Google Maps application, search for their desired location, and activate the “Public Transport” layer. By selecting a stop icon, they can view the lines that pass through it, real-time waiting times, and any incidents or route modifications.

"This integration provides users with all updated information on vehicle positions and real-time waiting times, beyond scheduled timetables."
