The initiative, taking place between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, will offer a diverse program of cultural, recreational, and solidarity activities. The main goal is to back the demands of sector professionals, who began an indefinite strike on April 7.
“"Defending early childhood education means defending the present and future of our city. The educators' demands are fair and necessary and require a response commensurate with the importance of this stage."
Among the main demands of the collective are the reduction of classroom ratios, the implementation of educational pairs as per regulations, the improvement of salary conditions—which in many cases are close to the Minimum Interprofessional Wage—and the reinforcement of human resources and funding. These measures seek to ensure adequate educational care in this crucial stage for child development.
“"This mobilization stems from a real need: to ensure that every child can be attended to with the time, care, and educational quality they deserve."
The event will feature a theatrical performance by the company La Charloja at the Music School, with showings at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. The solidarity entrance fee for this activity will be three euros. Additionally, a free program will include children's activities and a bubble show by Tina Lorenzi.
Attendees can also enjoy a solidarity market and a raffle with products donated by local businesses, as well as other prizes including experiences, services, and activities for the whole family.
