The city of Alcorcón is gearing up to host an unprecedented edition of the El Pepinito Tournament, a grassroots football event breaking participation records, scheduled from June 24th to 28th.

The tournament, recognized as the oldest youth academy competition in Spain, anticipates the attendance of approximately 3,000 boys and girls, organized into around 150 teams. The competition will span five days, entirely dedicated to formative football.
The event's highlight will occur on Sunday, June 28th, at the On Time Butarque Stadium. Finals for all categories will be played on the same pitch used by CD Leganés. These decisive matches will be broadcast on television via Telemadrid. Following the games, the stadium will host the traditional trophy ceremony, concluding an edition aiming to establish itself as the most attended and participatory to date.
The tournament's significant growth has led the organization to expand its venues, utilizing most of the available football facilities in Leganés. During the event days, the city will become a major hub for national grassroots football, attracting thousands of families, coaches, and fans from across the country.
One of this edition's most notable features is its strong emphasis on inclusion, with both male and female categories. This initiative positions the tournament among the few national sporting events that specifically integrate this discipline into their competitive structure.
