This significant recognition is part of the eleventh edition of the Merco Salud ranking, an evaluation that measures the quality of care, reputation, and professional level of healthcare centers across Spain. The distinction underscores the hospital's commitment to excellence in patient care.
The Community of Madrid has seen seven of its public hospitals ranked among the top one hundred in the country, reinforcing the quality of the regional healthcare system. In the intermediate complexity hospital category, the Alcorcón center shares prominence with other Madrid institutions, notably the Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos, which leads the classification.
“"These results demonstrate the high level of care provided by the Madrid Health Service."
The awards ceremony took place at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos on Tuesday morning. The managing director of the Alcorcón Hospital accepted the award at an event attended by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid and the CEO of MERCO.
