Alcorcón City Council paid tribute on May 23rd to couples from the municipality who have completed 50 years of life together, in an emotional event called 'Golden Spring'.

The municipality of Alcorcón held a special initiative titled “Golden Spring” on May 23rd. This event served as a recognition for couples in the town who have shared fifty years of life, either through marriage or as civil partners.
During the ceremony, couples such as Paquita and Antonio, residents of Alcorcón, shared their experiences and emotions from a day filled with memories. They were accompanied by family and friends, who celebrated their long journey and contribution to the community and the city's development.
The Alcorcón Municipal Police had a busy morning. Officers responded to several incidents: first, to rescue a baby falcon that had fallen from its nest on Inspector J. Bueno street, transferring it to a care center. Later, they attended to a report of a small snake in a bank branch, safely capturing the reptile.
The final incident of the morning involved a driver who, after consuming alcohol and drugs, caused a traffic accident in front of a school. The driver tested positive for both substances, but fortunately, there were no injuries. Images of the incident were shared by the Alcorcón Municipal Police on their social media.
Furthermore, Jose, head of FibraNet, shared practical tips for improving security in homes and businesses in a conversation with Jorge Oliva. He emphasized the importance of prevention and reminded that “security is not an expense, it is an investment”.
