Alcorcón Embraces Culture in April with Diverse Program for All Audiences

Theater, dance, music, exhibitions, and conferences will highlight Alcorcón's cultural agenda throughout the month of April.

The municipality of Alcorcón has prepared an extensive cultural agenda for the month of April, offering a variety of activities including theater, dance, music, and exhibitions, aimed at all ages and tastes.

The program will take place in various emblematic locations within the town, such as the Teatro Buero Vallejo, the Centro Municipal de las Artes, several civic centers, and the Museo de Arte en Vidrio de Alcorcón (MAVA). Additionally, the traditional Fiestas de Santo Domingo y San Dominguín will also be part of this cultural calendar.

One of the most anticipated events at the Teatro Buero Vallejo will be the performance of Invisible, by LaJoven Compañía, a theatrical adaptation of Eloy Moreno's best-selling book. The play, which addresses themes such as school bullying and empathy, will be presented on Friday, April 10 at 8:30 PM and has also been part of the municipal educational campaign.
The Centro Municipal de las Artes will host two significant exhibitions: 'Autorretrato en cuatro tiempos. Crónica de una metamorfosis' by Clara Deguines Guillem, until April 29 in the Sala El Paso Alta, and the collective exhibition of the VIII Aniversario Overgraff Collective in the Sala Altamira until April 25. In the educational field, the Centro Cívico Los Pinos will offer conferences such as 'Women in Art. A Gender Perspective Study' on April 10, given by Natalia Piñeiro Ruiz, and 'Impressionism in Spain' on April 13, by painter Juan Lastras.
The month of April will also be dedicated to dance, with the exhibition '13 años en Danza' by the caraBdanza company at the Centro Cívico Los Pinos, from April 7 to 30, which will include an inaugural performance. Sacred music will have its place on April 11 at the Centro Cívico Viñagrande with the Alleluia concert, bringing together the Coral Polifónica de Alcorcón, the Coral Polifónica de Candeleda, and the Orquesta de Cámara Consort. Flamenco will also be featured on April 10 at the Centro Cívico Margarita Burón with a recital by Manuel Pajares and Rafael Andújar.
Finally, the Museo de Arte en Vidrio de Alcorcón (MAVA) will inaugurate the exhibition 'Postales de las colonias' on April 9, the first in Spain by the Hermanos de la Torre, which can be visited until October 18. The Centro Cívico Fuente Cisneros will host the exhibition 'El Arte del Pirograbado' until May 7 and will celebrate the III Feria de Abril on April 11, with family activities, live music, and a cultural market.
