The Alcorcón City Council has launched a subsidy program of 500,000 euros, extendable to 600,000, to promote solar energy, aerothermal systems, and sustainable mobility in the locality.
The initiative, managed through the Department of Ecological Transition, Mobility, Education and Environment, seeks to boost decarbonization, energy and economic savings, and social justice among Alcorcón residents. The aid will prioritize collective projects such as energy communities, associations of municipalities, and homeowner associations, as well as vulnerable families.
“
"Energy subsidies are a priority for this Government."
The program allows residents to install solar panels, incorporate aerothermal systems, or acquire electric vehicles, including electric bicycles. Subsidies cover up to 35% for photovoltaic installations, up to 40% for aerothermal systems, between 20% and 30% for electric mobility, and up to 80% for electric bicycles.
This aid is aimed at individuals, homeowner associations, associations of municipalities, self-employed workers, and micro-enterprises. Specific support is maintained for vulnerable families, who can access subsidies of up to 100% of the investment. The deadline to apply for these subsidies is July 31, 2026, and interested parties can consult the terms on the municipal website.

"These aids are a mechanism for the redistribution of economic power. By promoting self-consumption and community management, we are driving the democratization of energy and providing the residents of Alcorcón with tools to be sovereign and regain control over their own resources. It is a policy designed for social majorities and for the challenges of the 21st century."
In the previous call, these subsidies mobilized nearly 2 million euros in investment in the city, generating local economic activity and allowing households to reduce their energy expenditure by more than 1,000 euros annually in many cases.
