The race, scheduled to start at 8:00 PM, aims to surpass previous participation numbers. The core of this event lies in the artisanal and 'crazy' design of the vehicles, built with various materials and without size or weight limits. The cars must meet requirements such as having three wheels, a steering and effective braking system, and no motor traction. Additionally, an acoustic signaling device is mandatory.
Each team will consist of at least four people, including a pilot who must wear a full-face helmet, sports footwear, long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, and gloves. Elbow and knee pads are also recommended for safety.
“"A single category is established with the following prizes, all accompanied by a trophy: 1st: ham and loin; 2nd: ham; 3rd and 4th: loin; 5th and 6th: sausage. And for the slowest car team among all registered participants, also sandwiches and a trophy as a special prize."
A jury composed of municipal staff will evaluate the creativity of the design, the team's stage presence (including costumes and animation), speed, and skill in completing the circuit. In case of a tie, a popular vote will be held.
The City Council will offer financial aid of up to 150 euros per car to cover execution costs, provided it is requested at the Council's Registry by 2:30 PM on September 4th. The application form and rules are available for download.
Safety measures will be implemented in the track area, and the event will be covered by the corresponding civil liability and accident insurance. Prior to the race, at 7:00 PM, the registered vehicles will be presented in the Plaza de la Constitución, one hour before the official start.
