The Madrid locality of Alcorcón is preparing to host a unique martial arts event on June 19th, organized by The Gulag Fight at the JOWKE Club facilities.

The event promises to be one of the most striking held in the Community of Madrid, notable for its innovative staging: a fight ring set up over a swimming pool. An attendance of over 1,500 people is expected, marking this as the promoter's most ambitious event to date.
The Gulag Fight has carved out a niche in the national combat sports scene with its distinctive 'king of the ring' format. This system heightens competitive tension, as fighters who lose a bout are eliminated, while those who secure three consecutive victories are crowned champions, earning the organization's belt and a cash prize.
The event will feature bouts from various disciplines including K-1 kickboxing, Muay Thai, and boxing. Among the most anticipated matchups is the return of Alejandro Lakatus, former WBA world champion, who will face Chechu “Black Panther”. Additionally, the Spanish Professional K-1 Championship Belt and the Women's Amateur Regional Kickboxing Belt will be contested. The night will also include a 2-on-2 combat format, a rare modality in Spain.
Beyond the sports competition, the event will blend musical entertainment with live performances by artists Mxndxz and Javi Bambini. This combination aims to attract new audiences to martial arts. The event will be sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Organization (OMKE).
For those unable to attend, the event will be broadcast live on Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube.
